Applications Are Open for Catalyst by Beemok 2026

Up to $2 million in funding available for early-stage companies in Charleston’s Tri-county area
Catalyst by Beemok is back for its second year and the stakes are even higher. Applications are officially open for the 2026 competition and if you’ve been thinking about applying, there’s no reason to wait.
This year, Beemok is doubling its investment commitment to up to $2 million in potential funding for early-stage companies in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties. The live pitch event takes place November 14, 2026, where selected finalists will present before a panel of experienced investors, business leaders and a live audience.
Apply Early
The professional application deadline is August 1, and the student deadline is August 31, but submitting early gives reviewers more time to dig into your company, understand your vision and get to know what makes you the right founder to back.
Who Should Apply
Catalyst is designed for founders who are in the early stages of building something meaningful who need capital to reach their next phase of growth. Applicants do not need to be generating revenue to apply, though early sales, customer validation, or other signs of traction are strongly preferred.
Student founders developing a venture are encouraged to apply through the dedicated student category.
In its first year, Catalyst finalists and winners represented industries ranging from food innovation and manufacturing to technology and medicine. Several founders have continued building momentum through community partnerships and appearances at events including the Credit One Charleston Open, TEDxCharleston and events around the country.
